Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration reported on February 23, 2023, that Russian military did not stop shelling populated areas of the Donetsk region. Russian troops launch rocket attacks, and shell the cities with Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery. 1 civilian was killed and 2 were injured.

“At night, in the Volnovakha direction, Russians fired 3 rockets at Bahatyr of the Velykonovosilkiv territorial community — they destroyed the house. In the Donetsk direction, there were 3 shellings of Kurakhove and 1 shelling of Kurakhivka — the private sector was damaged, without casualties. In the morning, Russian troops shelled Avdiivka twice with artillery and twice with Grad rocket launcher — houses were damaged, and 1 person was injured,” informed the head of the Donetsk regional military administration.
The communities of Kostiantynivka and Soledar were also under Russian fire. In Kostiantynivka, 2 private houses and a high-rise building were damaged, and 2 houses in Vasyukivka, as well as 3 in Fedorivka.
“In the Lysychansk direction, Russians killed 1 person and wounded 1 in Yampil of the Lyman community — 6 houses were damaged there. 2 more houses were damaged in Torske,” concluded Pavlo Kyrylenko.
