Russian proxies attack Ukraine 67 times, intensify fire near Maryinka

The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 67 times in the past 24 hours, using weapons of different caliber, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
”The situation was tense in the Donetsk sector. The enemy repeatedly used infantry fighting vehicles to attack our fortified positions near the village of Luhanske. The militants fired mortars of various calibers 11 times on areas near the town of Avdiyivka, and once near the villages of Nevelske, Novhorodske, Opytne, Zaitseve and Butivka coal mine each. They also fired small arms on the village of Pisky and the town of Svitlodarsk, as well as snipers were working there,” the report says.
In the Mariupol sector, the Russian-backed militants were active near the town of Maryinka, where they fired grenade launchers, machine guns, anti-aircraft systems and small arms on the Ukrainian positions six times. They also used mortars to attack ATO forces in the village of Shyrokyne and the town of Krasnohorivka.
”In Luhansk region, the occupiers fired anti-aircraft guns and automatic grenade launchers on our soldiers near the village of Novozvanivka,” the headquarters said.
In turn, the Ukrainian army fired back 10 times to repel illegal armed groups, and continues to firmly hold its defense lines.
