The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 46 times in the past 24 hours, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
In the Luhansk sector, the enemy fired grenade launchers of various systems on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Bohuslavske and Stepne, the ATO HQ said in an update as of 06:00 Kyiv time on June 10.
In the Donetsk sector, the Russian-backed mercenaries fired all types of small arms and rocket-propelled grenades on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Luhanske, Verkhniotoretske and Novoselivka Druha, as well as mortars near the villages of Nevelske and Troyitske, and the town of Avdiyivka.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants opened fire from small arms, machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the towns of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, and the villages of Taramchuk, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne. The occupiers also fired heavy mortars and 152mm artillery systems twice on the Ukrainian positions near the village of Novotroyitske.
In some cases, the Ukrainian units were forced to return fire.
