Russian propaganda again sees Ukrainian ballistic missiles

Russian propaganda released another fake report early on August 21. The Zvezda television and radio company reported that the Ukrainian military shelled the town of Makiyivka in Donetsk region with Tochka-U rockets.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Thursday.
“Analysts from our information and analytical center found that the picture showing the use of weapons of mass destruction in Makiyivka, i.e. a rocket allegedly fired by the Ukrainian military, actually concerns another event – the explosion of a Russian rocket on July 2, 2013 in Baikonur (Kazakhstan),” he said.
Lysenko said that Russia had repeatedly and unreasonably accused Ukraine of using ballistic missiles in towns and villages.
