The General Staff of the Russian Federation has ordered the militants in the temporarily occupied areas of Donbas to fully cease fire from 00:00 on September 15, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine`s Defense Ministry reported on Facebook.
The intelligence also says that the command of the 1st (Donetsk) and the 2nd (Luhansk) Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces issued an order to continue attacks until the date of the ceasefire, which led to a significant increase of militant shellings in the last day, including with the use of banned weapons.
”The militants used 122mm and 152mm artillery systems on the Ukrainian fortified positions in the Sloviansk and Donetsk directions, as well as 82mm and 120mm mortar systems,” the report says.
Earlier, the leaders of the Donetsk and Luhansk People`s Republics declared readiness to cease fire in Donbas from September 15.
