The police of the Donetsk region noted on April 14, 2023, that the cities of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, the urban-type settlement Velyka Novosilka, the villages of Karlivka, and Novodmytrivka were under Russian fire. Civil infrastructure was damaged.

Russian troops used Grad multiple rocket launchers, artillery, mortars, and tanks against the civilian population. A residential building, kindergartens, and a hangar were damaged.
“Russian military shelled Karlivka from Grad rocket launcher, aimed at a private house. Russian troops continue to destroy Bakhmut with artillery. Social infrastructure facilities were damaged. In both cases, there was no information about the victims,” reported the police of the Donetsk region.
The Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration added that in the Horlivka direction, two kindergartens in Bakhmut were destroyed, and a school in the Chasiv Yar community was damaged.
“Artillery shelling took place on the outskirts of the Toretsk community. In the evening, Russians shelled Novodmytrivka of the Kostiantynivska community — a grain hangar was damaged,” said Pavlo Kyrylenko.
