The Head of the Press Center of the Operational Command “South” Natalia Gumeniuk noted on September 5, 2022, that the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not allow Russian military to use the Ukrainian infrastructure in their interests and keep the relevant facilities under fire in the south.

The air defense of the Russian Federation is unable to effectively counter the attacks of the Armed Forces.
“That is, the strikes were eloquent enough – they made it clear that the enemy should not use, in particular, our bridges for their own purposes. At the same time, the enemy’s anti-aircraft defense is also affected and it is unable to counter effectively.”
According to the Head of the Press Center of the Operational Command “South”, Russian occupiers, regardless of the risk to their lives, are trying to transport heavy equipment and ammunition across the bridges. This destroyed certain sections of one of the bridges, as they could not withstand the load.
“At the moment, all these arteries [bridges – ed.] are impassable. That is why occupiers are setting up alternative routes – ferries, pontoon crossings, barge crossings. And we are also keeping them under fire control,” Gumeniuk said, reminding us that the enemy already has three pontoon crossings destroyed.
She also added that the Armed Forces use all available weapons to achieve the goals set by the command.
