“The reduction of the Ukrainian economy is predicted at the level of 35-40%. If Russia’s terrorist activity against Ukrainian infrastructure is continued, then we can lose another 10%, i.e. up to 50% of our GDP,” Denys Shmyhal said at the economic forum in Paris.

The Prime Minister also announced that by the end of the year, the losses caused to the economy of Ukraine as a result of the war would amount to $700 billion.

“According to our estimates, which have been verified by the World Bank, the amount of damage caused to the economy of Ukraine amounts to $350 billion as of June 1, 2022. By the end of the year, this amount will obviously double. We understand this, as the destruction continues,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister emphasized that all sectors of Ukraine’s economy were suffering because of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
