Russia shelled Zaporizhzhia, a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility

The Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatolii Kurtiev noted that the Russians attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia (south of Ukraine) on the night of December 2, 2022, as a result of which the building of an infrastructure object caught fire.

“As a result of an enemy attack, the building of an infrastructure facility is on fire. The windows broke out in nearby houses,” said the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

Anatolii Kurtiev also noted that relevant services were already working on the ground, and information about the destruction and victims is being clarified.

Later, Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration said that Russia’s goal was the destruction of the industrial and energy infrastructure of the regional center.

“Tonight, the Russian army once again launched a rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia. Its goal was to destroy the industrial and energy infrastructure of the regional center. As a result, a fire broke out. According to the available data, there were no casualties. The fire was promptly extinguished by our rescuers,” noted Oleksandr Starukh.
