Russia shelled the Sumy region, 1 woman was killed and 1 was injured: photos

The Sumy Regional Military Administration noted that on April 18, 2023, at around 12:20 p.m., Russian military launched an artillery attack on the village of Richky of the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine) from the territory of the Russian Federation.

“Russians fired artillery at the village of Richky (7 rounds of barrel artillery and 5 rounds of anti-aircraft fire), as a result of which 1 civilian (woman) was injured and 1 civilian (woman) died of her injuries in an ambulance, a residential building and farm buildings were damaged,” informed the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The press center of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine clarified that a 83-year-old woman died on the territory of her own home as a result of Russian shelling.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.

In total, 165 Russian mortars, artillery, and grenade shellings were recorded in the Sumy region on April 18, 2023.
