The National Police of Ukraine reported on September 17, 2022, that Russian troops targeted residential buildings, a school, a coke-chemical plant, and an apiary in the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine). Civilians were killed and injured, including one child.

The police documented 13 shelling of civilian infrastructure by Russian soldiers during the day in the Donetsk region. 7 settlements were damaged.
“The troops of the Russian Federation attacked 7 settlements – the cities of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Sviatohirsk, Toretsk, the settlement of Velyka Novosilka, the villages of Novyy Komar, Novoocheretuvate. Russian servicemen used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and tanks. Avdiivka withstood the most blows – six.”
According to the National Police, 17 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged, 10 of which were residential buildings.
“The army of the Russian Federation shelled the recently liberated Sviatohirsk with rocket artillery – a person was killed and a child was injured,” the National Police reported.
