Russia resumes certification of Ukrainian pork

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) resumes certification certification of pig production of four Ukrainian companies, imported to Russia.
The press service of the Russian agency informs.
The matter concerns products of LLC VMP (Volyn region), LLC Svizhenka (Chernivtsi region), LLC Salkom Plyus (Donetsk region) and OJSC Tavr-Plus (Donetsk region).
At the same time, Rosselkhoznadzor stresses that import of products is possible only in carcasses and semi-carcasses in the presence of imprints of veterinary stamps.
Also, a veterinary certificate must have an addendum, confirming that the raw material, of which products are manufactured, supplied to Russia, is produced by pig-growing enterprises, located in Ukraine, where there are no recorded cases of African swine fever (ASF) in populations of domestic and wild susceptible animals.
As reported, in late January, Rosselkhoznadzor requested the veterinary services of Ukraine to stop certification of pork exports to Russia, in view of detection of ASF in Luhansk region. Ukraine ceased such certification since February 3.
