Russia has started openly supplying military cargo and manpower to terrorists operating in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“We recorded the open transportation by the Russian side of military cargo from the Russian territory to the Ukrainian territory controlled by militants, both by road and by rail,” Lysenko said.
However, he said, OSCE observers working at Russian border crossings Gukovo and Donetsk reported that during the week from September 12 to September 19, over 500 people in military uniforms crossed Ukraine’s state border in two directions, either individually or in groups.
“The OSCE mission said that these crossings through the border were carried out mainly at the Donetsk checkpoint,” Lysenko said.
