The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that Russian troops hit the city of Beryslav in the Kherson region on January 5, 2023. Russian shells hit a house, and as a result, the family was killed: husband, wife, and a 12-year-old boy.

“Beryslav, Kherson region. Tragic news in the city today. Russian shelling hit the house and killed the family. This is all the baseness and meanness of Russia. In the morning they talk about the “Christmas truce”, and already at noon they kill the whole family. What did the husband, wife and their 12-year-old son do wrong? The fact that they are just Ukrainians?” wrote the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, people were preparing to celebrate Christmas together, but a cynical blow by Russian soldiers killed them in their own home.
Earlier, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 5 civilians were killed and 8 more were injured on January 4, 2023.
