“Since the beginning of the Russian aggression, more than 350 objects of Naftogaz Group enterprises have been damaged. These are objects of gas and oil infrastructure. In addition, more than 450 km of gas pipelines have been damaged,” said the head of the board of Naftogaz.
Oleksiy Chernyshov noted that Russians had already destroyed dozens of objects in the previously occupied territories in the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) and were actively shelling those adjacent to it. In addition, due to power outages, which will continue in the future, the energy balance of Ukraine will change: natural gas and other hydrocarbons will be used instead of electricity, where possible.
According to the head of the board of Naftogaz, the company is currently working with international partners from the USA, Canada and Europe, who continue to support Ukraine in the fight against the Russian army to meet the needs for additional volumes of gas.
