Rada approves President’s decree on mobilization

Ukrainian MPs passed the bill, approving the decree of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on partial mobilization.
268 MPs voted for the corresponding document, presented in the parliament by secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov.
The bill approves the President’s decree, which provides for three stages of mobilization in 2015.
According to the explanatory note, the law on partial mobilization will enter into force on the date of its publication.
“The enactment will require an increase in public spending for supply of material and technical resources and assets to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations of Ukraine,” reads the note.
As reported, January 14, President Poroshenko signed the decree on partial mobilization, noting that the honorable right to defend the state should be evenly distributed among all regions in proportion to the number of reservists.
