Prosecutor General’s Office announced the number of Ukrainian prisoners of war executed by Russians

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine noted on April 28, 2023, that Russian troops deliberately killed 73 Ukrainian soldiers. In total, Ukrainian law enforcement officers are conducting pre-trial investigations of 265 crimes committed by Russians against Ukrainian prisoners of war.

“More than 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen are victims of crimes committed by Russian military, 73 Ukrainian prisoners of war were deliberately killed,” informed the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

Suspicion has been reported to two persons in absentia due to the facts of cruel treatment of prisoners of war, one – for the fact of murder. The investigation in other proceedings continues and measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the commission of these crimes.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine made public the conversation of a military officer of the Russian army. One of the Russian servicemen describes in detail how he cuts the throat of a Ukrainian war prisoner. According to him, there are a lot of such cases. They kill Ukrainian soldiers at night.
