Poroshenko: We demand decisive actions that can bring peace

The closure of the Ukrainian-Russian border to prevent the movement of equipment, ammunition and mercenaries has become a key issue of a meeting of leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and representatives of the European Union in Minsk.

“Our primary goal is peace. We require decisive actions that can bring peace to the Ukrainian land … We agreed that through the tripartite contact group we will hold consultations in order to speed up the transition to the regime of bilateral ceasefire that will be controlled by OSCE representatives,” he said.
In turn, EU High Representative Catherine Ashton said that is peace and security are important now, and the cessation of hostilities, as well as finding ways of securing the Ukrainian-Russian border.
