Poroshenko urges U.S. companies to develop cooperation with Ukrainian defense industry complex

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has urged U.S. leading military industry companies, which supply goods and services designed for military use to Ukraine, to develop an active cooperation with Ukraine, the presidential press service reported.
Poroshenko met with representatives of U.S. military industry companies in Washington during his working visit to the United States, according to the report.
The president expressed his gratitude to those who were present at the meeting for an important contribution of their country to strengthening Ukraine`s defense capability, the press service reports.
The president stressed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in order to curb the ongoing armed aggression against Ukraine in Donbas.
The head of state also noted extensive opportunities for establishing cooperation between military industry companies of both states, including in the area of arms and equipment production, attracting of U.S. technologies and investment into the implementation of joint projects in Ukraine.
