Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will sign the law on the cleansing of power by October 10.
The president’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Kniazevych, said this live on the Ukraina television channel, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“As he [Poroshenko] promised, he will do it in the terms defined by the constitution – by [October] 10. And as soon as he decides, we will see an official statement on the president’s website that the law took effect,” Kniazevych said.
As reported, on October 3, Poroshenko decided to sign the law on the cleansing of power (lustration). However, he did not rule out the possibility that the law could be amended.
