Poroshenko on parliament dissolution: This will happen on Independence Day

The constitutional grounds for the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada will come on Independence Day.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this during his working visit to Mykolaiv on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“The decisions on the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada will be taken when there are constitutional grounds. This will happen on Independence Day. Prior to this, of course, I will hold consultations with factions, with the Verkhovna Rada, as required by law. But in my decisions I will be guided by the aspirations of the people. Ukrainian people demand a reboot of power and its lustration,” he said.
Poroshenko also said that early elections were the best form of lustration. He believes that everyone has to pass the exam with elections.
“Today’s level of support for the decision on the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada exceeds 80%. What makes us different from the previous government, from those who worked before us? The fact that we hear and fulfill what people want,” he said.
