Poroshenko hears report of Acting Commander of Naval Forces of Ukraine on development concept

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko started a working trip to Odesa where he heard the report of Acting Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine Ihor Voronchenko on the development concept of the Naval Forces.
”Measures taken by the Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Defense and General Staff do not meet the needs of comprehensive maintenance of the Naval Forces of Ukraine,” Poroshenko said, the president`s press service reports.
The President approved the decision of Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko and Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak on the priority of funding of the Naval Forces.
Poroshenko also drew attention to the pending issue of social protection of servicemen and their families. He instructed the Minister of Defense to accelerate solution of the issue of housing for sailors who left Crimea.
