Poroshenko calls on IMF to increase financial aid

They discussed the economic situation in Ukraine and the fulfillment by the sides of the obligations under the IMF’s stand-by program.
Lagarde expressed support for Ukraine and positively assessed the formation of a new coalition and government, as this, in her opinion, will contribute to the proper implementation of reforms and the stabilization of the financial and economic situation in Ukraine.
Poroshenko assured Lagarde that Ukraine was consistent in meeting its commitments to the International Monetary Fund. The president also urged the IMF to consider increasing financial aid to Ukraine.
The parties agreed on the further schedule of cooperation in the near future.
