Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Lieutenant-General Ihor Voronchenko Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, the president`s press service reports.
It was stated by the President at festivities on the occasion of the Day of Naval Forces, the report reads.
Ihor Voronchenko was also conferred the rank of Vice Admiral.
