“The transfer of the next batch (MiG-29 – ed.) is in progress,” noted the Prime Minister of Poland.

Mateusz Morawiecki also said that the Polish Air Force currently has 48 F-16 aircraft, Poland is also supported by its allies, in particular the USA, which sent F-22 fighters to Poland as part of strengthening NATO’s eastern flank.

According to the Prime Minister of Poland, next year Poland will receive F-35 multi-purpose fighter jets from the USA. Therefore, he added, Poland no longer needs MiG-29 aircraft.

Earlier, it was noted that Germany allowed Poland to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

“The Federal Government has approved Poland’s application to export MiG-29 fighter jets from GDR stocks to Ukraine. Poland had previously asked to be allowed to supply Ukraine with the planes. The federal government then promised a decision this Thursday [on April 13, 2023 – ed.],” reported the Federal Government of Germany.
