Catherine Colonna reported that these were new commitments thanks to holding this conference. These are help or gifts in kind, but not loans.

According to the French Foreign Minister, the aid will be distributed in the coming days and into the winter months, which will help strengthen the resilience of civil infrastructure of Ukraine.

“We cannot leave them [Ukrainians – ed.] alone faced with winter, and with their aggressor which is seeking to inflict difficulties on them,” Catherine Colonna told at a press conference.

Almost half of the aid – about 400 million – is intended for the energy sector of Ukraine, which is suffering from Russian missile air strikes.

Catherine Colonna also confirmed the launch of a new platform for the coordination of civil aid to Ukraine, which would allow donors to see the needs of Ukraine and the obligations of other countries.
