PACE recognized the political regime of the Russian Federation as terrorist

A member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) noted that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted the resolution “Further escalation of aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine”, in which it recognized the Russian regime terrorist on October 13, 2022.

“99 delegates out of 100 were in favor. One abstained. This is a historic result! Full support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe!” Goncharenko emphasized.

According to a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the PACE, the resolution states that the Russian regime is terrorist.

“This is a powerful signal on a global scale, and this is another step to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism.”

Oleksiy Goncharenko also noted that the PACE resolution referred to the illegality of Russia’s presence in the UN Security Council.

In addition, the Council of Europe states that it is necessary to provide weapons to the country for the first time in history.

The PACE  also supported the establishment of a special tribunal for Russian war criminals as soon as possible.
