OSCE spots 6 Grad systems, 3 tanks near Russia-occupied Luhansk

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine has reported its monitors have again spotted proscribed heavy weapons in Russia-occupied areas near the city of Luhansk controlled by the self-proclaimed Luhansk People`s Republic (”LPR”).

”In non-government-controlled areas, the SMM saw three tanks (T-72) and seven self-propelled howitzers (2S1) with their engines running at an aerodrome on the south-eastern outskirts of `LPR`-controlled Luhansk city. The SMM also saw six multiple launch rocket systems (BM-21 Grad, 122mm) 500m south-west of `LPR`-controlled Malomykolaivka (36km south-west of Luhansk),” the SMM said in a report based on information received as of 19:30 local time on May 10, 2017.

In non-government-controlled areas, the SMM saw nine towed howitzers (five 2A-65 Msta-B, 152mm and four D-30 Lyagushka, 122mm) near ”LPR”-controlled Malomykolaivka.
