The speaker of the Polish Seimas Elzbieta Witek is convinced that what is happening is not just “Putin’s war against Ukraine”, but the war of the Russian people against Ukraine.

According to Elzhbieta Witek, not only the leader of Russia and his associates are to blame for the war and related atrocities, but also the entire Russian people who approve of it.
“Today, Ukrainians are fighting not only for themselves, for their country, but also for us Poles, because we are next,” she said.
Witek urged compatriots and allies not to forget about the war and not to get used to it.
“You cannot forget this war, you cannot get used to it, because Putin will not stop at Ukraine – he says it officially, we read it in the documents published on their pages. Not even the Baltic countries, but primarily Poland. We are a frontline country, we have a direct border with Ukraine, and we know what Soviet occupation and Soviet brutality are,” she emphasized.
According to her, the crime of genocide is taking place in Ukraine. She reminded that the Polish Parliament adopted five resolutions regarding Russian aggression in Ukraine.
