Norway transferred 14 IVECO LAV III armored patrol vehicles to Ukraine

Norway additionally provided Ukraine with armored patrol vehicles.

“Norway has donated 14 IVECO LAV III armored patrol vehicles to Ukraine. These vehicles have good mobility and protection, and are of the same type that Norwegian forces used in Afghanistan.”

According to the message, the vehicles are delivered in addition to other military equipment, such as artillery, man-portable air defenses and armored personnel carriers, which Norway has already provided to the Ukrainian side earlier.

“Norway continues to contribute to the Ukrainians’ fight for freedom. The government is constantly assessing how Norway can provide further support to Ukraine in the country’s defense against Russia’s invasion,” says Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.

On July 1, the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Haar Store, arrived in Ukraine, where he visited the cities destroyed by Russia and promised to provide 10 billion kroner in aid.

Uaposition memo: IVECO LAV III is an army multi-purpose SUV with an armored body, distinguished by its mobility and protection. It can gain speeds of up to 130 km/h. As of 2016, Norway had 170 such SUVs.
