“The more Ukraine wins, the greater will be, firstly, the attention to our efforts, and secondly, the more motivated the partners will be to support Ukraine, as they will see concrete results of their support,” the Minister commented on the impact of the Ukrainian counteroffensive on diplomacy.

At the same time, Dmytro Kuleba added that Ukraine does not completely reject the idea of negotiations with the Russian Federation.

“So no one rejects the option of negotiations, any war ends with negotiations, but the question is in what position you sit at the negotiating table. Today, negotiations with Russia are being conducted on the battlefield, and this is the only type of negotiations that it understands.”

The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Ukraine is ready to sit down at negotiating the table only if it is about the complete restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. However, at the moment, neither Ukraine nor its strategic partners see any indicators that Russia is ready for serious negotiations, or that the conditions for such negotiations have already been created.
