More than 6,000 civil objects were damaged and destroyed in the Kherson region by Russian shelling

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration said on April 24, 2023, that Russian attacks destroyed or damaged more than 6,000 civil objects in the Kherson region (south of Ukraine), and the humanitarian situation in the liberated territory of the Kherson region is difficult but stable.

“Generally speaking, 6,093 civil objects have been damaged or destroyed in the region due to Russian shelling,” noted the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

In particular, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, these are 4,210 residential buildings and 203 educational institutions.

Oleksandr Prokudin assessed the humanitarian situation in the liberated territory of the region as of “medium difficulty” and emphasized that the population is provided with food products.

“32,000 hectares were demined (thanks to humanitarian demining) on the liberated territory. There are currently 15,000 children there,” added the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Specialists work every day to restore communications and critical infrastructure, currently there is electricity in 154 settlements out of 228. In total, almost 189,000 subscribers have already been connected to the network, which is 85% of the total number.
