According to the Minister, Ukraine continues to support the medical system in the temporarily occupied regions and transfers funds to medical facilities every month. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 4 billion hryvnias have already been transferred.
Doctors continue to treat patients, even risking their lives in the territories under temporary Russian occupation.
“Our doctors who treat Ukrainian patients are there. And this is our principled position – to always support our people, wherever they are. Today, we are in contact with most of the medical institutions that are under occupation. To everyone with whom such a connection is established, 1/12 of the annual amount of the contract under the Medical Guarantee Program is transferred every month,” said Oleksiy Yaremenko.
Yaremenko added that doctors working in temporarily occupied territories are paid Ukrainian wages.
