As of July 8, Russian troops have already committed 417 crimes against the cultural heritage of Ukraine.

At the moment, the employees of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine are systematizing the received information and checking it.

Religious buildings suffered the most from the invaders. 146 structures were destroyed or damaged, and 50 of them are now registered as monuments of history, architecture and urban planning.

126 objects of cultural heritage were destroyed and damaged as a result of the shelling of the invaders. These are monuments of architecture and urban planning: 21 monuments of national significance, 98 of local significance, 7 newly discovered objects of cultural heritage, and 103 objects of valuable historical development were destroyed or damaged.

The Ministry noted that the destruction of cultural heritage objects is a war crime under The Hague Convention of 1954. And they urge everyone to join the documentation process, but at the same time, they ask people to remember personal safety.
