More than 4.5 million voters will not be able to vote

The number of voters, who in connection with the Russian aggression will not participate in the vote, makes up 4.6 million people – these are residents of Donbas and Crimea.
OPORA coordinator of parliamentary and electoral programs Olha Aivazovska told a press conference, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“In Donetsk region, according to our calculations – 49% of voters will not be able to participate in the vote (1.6 million citizens). In Luhansk region – 69% of voters (1.2 million citizens),” Aivazovska said.
She added that 100% of voters of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol also will not be able to vote.
“It’s 1.8 million citizens. We remember that about 20,000 used a procedure for a temporary change of the voting place, but it is about 0.04% of total number of voters. That is, we see what number of Ukrainian citizens now has no opportunity to participate fully in the electoral process due to the Russian aggression and military actions on the part of pro-Russian terrorist groups,” Aivazovska said.
