EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell reported on April 21, 2023, on Twitter, that more than 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained within the framework of the EU training mission.

“At Ukraine Defense Contact Group, I updated on EU military support. Over 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers already trained. Over €600 million of ammunition&missiles already delivered. Work on joint procurement ongoing. EU continues to work with partners to ensure Ukraine prevails,” tweeted EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
In addition, USA Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A. Milley added that 65 Ukrainian military completed training on Patriot air defense systems.
“In addition, there’s about 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers conducting training right now in Germany. Another 8,800, almost 9,000 have completed training and have returned to Ukraine,” said the USA Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General.
