Lithuanian company will direct €12M to restore Ukraine’s energy infrastructure

An Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine informed on March 3, 2023, that the Lithuanian company Ignitis Group would donate 12 million euros to rebuild Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. He said this during the round table discussion “Challenges for the economy of Ukraine and Lithuania in the context of war – let’s look for better economic solutions together” in Lviv (the largest city in the west of Ukraine).

“The largest energy company of Lithuania, Ignitis Group, has decided to transfer 10% of the received excess profit (which is 12 million euros) to the reconstruction and restoration of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine,” reported an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, in turn, thanked the Lithuanians for their support and assistance during the war, as Vilnius donated 700 thousand euros to Lviv for the National Rehabilitation Center “Unbreakable”.

“We have already received 700 thousand euros from Vilnius to develop the rehabilitation ecosystem in Lviv. I am convinced that our cooperation with Lithuanian colleagues will be fruitful. We think differently, but we are building our future and our victory together!” said Andriy Sadovyi.
