OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic believes that the creation of the Ministry of Information Policy poses a threat to media freedom in Ukraine.
Mijatovic wrote this on her Twitter page.
“Ukraine’s initiative to create a ministry of information is a clear threat to media freedom. This is not the way to counter propaganda,” she said.
Mijatovic also said that on Thursday she would discuss this initiative with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin at an OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.
