“I consider our talks today to be an important step for strengthening the global anti-war coalition of all the countries that can bring back and guarantee stability to the world. You achieved victory in your struggle for freedom, we believe that we can defend our freedom and independence from the colonizing war of the Russian Federation.”
Widodo also invited Putin to the G20. However, the prospect of his participation caused sharp opposition among the countries.
He emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution of the war waged by Russia. Widodo noted that he will soon meet with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and express his wish for peace.
The Indonesian President also discussed the importance of Ukraine to the world food supply chain.
“All efforts must be made so that Ukraine can return to exporting food again.”
In addition, Ukraine and Indonesia agreed on the introduction of a visa-free regime between the countries.
