IMF mission to return to Ukraine after Orthodox Christmas

The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will continue its work in Ukraine on January 8, the IMF’s press service has reported.
“The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is moving expeditiously to continue discussions with the Ukrainian authorities on the IMF-supported economic reform program aiming to stabilize the Ukrainian economy and restore sustainable growth,” reads the statement.
A team will begin its work in Kyiv on January 8, immediately after Orthodox Christmas, as agreed with the authorities.
The mission is expected to conclude its work before the end of January.
