President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine’s membership in NATO would not allow a war to break out.

“As for Ukraine, unfortunately, it is a mistake that NATO did not find a place for Ukraine in the Alliance before the war. If Ukraine had joined NATO, there would have been no war.”
Zelenskyy also believes that the desire of Sweden and Finland to become members of NATO is the result of the fact that Russia has started a war against Ukraine, which has prompted these countries to decide to join the Alliance.
