Great Britain will help Ukraine restore the health care system

Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Oleksiy Yaremenko said on August 10, 2022, that Great Britain intends to join the implementation of the Plan for the Restoration of the Health Care System of Ukraine. UK Specialists are also ready to exchange experience with colleagues in the field of rehabilitation.

Yaremenko stated that the British have transferred significant humanitarian aid to our country. In particular, about 60 ambulances and tens of tons of critically important medicines and medical equipment arrived.

“Thanks to the systematic support of international partners, who provide both humanitarian and financial assistance, our medical system has survived these more than 5 difficult months of the war,” the official said.

According to him, the Ministry of Health is currently building cooperation around the post-war reconstruction of the health care sector and involving international partners in the restoration of medical facilities that were damaged by the Russian invaders.

Besides participation in the process of restoring the healthcare sector, British specialists are also ready to exchange experience with Ukrainian colleagues in the area of rehabilitation.
