Great Britain will donate 10 million pounds to Ukrainian refugees

Great Britain and Poland signed a memorandum on support for Ukraine on October 20, 2022. According to the agreement, the UK will provide Ukraine with 10 million pounds to help Ukrainian refugees who are fleeing Russia’s war against Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland wrote this on Twitter.

“Deputy Head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Marcin Przydacz and Deputy Ambassador of Great Britain Jennifer MacNaughtan signed a memorandum on support for Ukraine,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland noted.

According to the agreement, Great Britain will transfer 10 million pounds to the Polish Solidarity Fund, which will be used for humanitarian aid for Ukrainians fleeing the war.

In total, Polish border guards let 6 million people pass through checkpoints from Ukraine to Poland from February 24 to September 2022. Poland welcomed the largest number of Ukrainian refugees.
