“We will continue to work together to achieve a fair and durable peace and a prosperous future for Ukraine. Therefore, we will provide constant humanitarian and financial assistance, as well as military equipment and sufficient training of the military, so that Ukraine can defend itself,” said the Federal Chancellor of Germany and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Germany and the Netherlands will continue to study potential opportunities for improving joint military support to Ukraine, in particular, will examine the possibilities of joint procurement of ammunition for the Armed Forces.

The two countries pledge to continue to put pressure on Russia to end the war and, where possible, to increase it through further restrictive measures.

They agreed on the need to conduct a proper, fair and independent investigation of the crimes committed in Ukraine and to prosecute the perpetrators at the national or international level.

“Germany and the Netherlands reiterate their strong support for the investigations of the International Criminal Court and welcome the establishment of the International Centre for the prosecution of the crime of aggression against Ukraine. They call for the implementation of the United Nations General Assembly resolution recommending the establishment of a register to document the damage caused by the Russian Federation’s attacks on Ukraine,” added Olaf Scholz and Mark Rutte.
