“We welcome Ukraine’s recent military successes. They show that international military support is working. We agreed that we will continue our support, including via Dutch-German military cooperation regarding the war in Ukraine,” Mark Rutte wrote on Twitter.

The Prime Minister also added that they discussed measures to overcome the energy crisis in Europe.

“We also discussed measures to tackle the energy crisis in Europe, and in that context looked ahead to the upcoming European Council. Both in NL and at EU level the government is doing all it can to support people and companies that are struggling.”

On July 11, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte visited Ukraine. During the visit, he called on the leaders of European states to support Ukraine with modern heavy weapons.

It should be noted that Germany together with the Netherlands delivered Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
