Gas price for industry to rise from Dec

On December 1, 2016, Ukraine`s oil and gas giant NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will increase the minimum prices for natural gas for industrial consumers by 5.4% year-over-year, from UAH 7,380 to UAH 7,780.8 per 1,000 cubic meters, the company said.

At the same time, the maximum price for natural gas for industrial consumers will be increased by 4.8%, to UAH 8,577.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, compared to UAH 8,182.8 a month earlier.

According to the company, the price proposals of Naftogaz are differentiated depending on the volume of purchases, payment terms and condition of previous calculations.

If the buyer has no debt to Naftogaz or will acquire not less than 50 million cubic meters of gas per month, he will pay the lowest price. In other cases, the buyer will have a higher price.

All fuel prices include VAT and transportation tariffs for transportation.

As UNIAN reported earlier, from October 1, 2015, a new law on natural gas market came into force, which deprived the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of the right to establish prices of natural gas for the industry.

In November 2016, Naftogaz raised the minimum prices for natural gas for industrial consumers by 16% year-over-year, to UAH 7,380 per 1,000 cubic meters, and the maximum prices by 15%, to UAH 8,182.8 per 1,000 cubic meters.
