“They [12 Caesar self-propelled howitzers – ed.] will be financed within the support fund of 200 million euros, which was approved by the parliament,” noted the Minister of Defense of France.

According to Sebastien Lecornu, he found out about the need for GM 200 air defense radars from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, back in December 2022. He noted that an agreement on the purchase of these radars will be signed in the coming days. The funds for them will be spent from the special fund for the support of Ukraine created by France.

The Minister of Defense added that France would continue to coordinate with allies to provide Ukraine with a sufficient number of missiles for the transferred earlier Crotale air defense systems.

“France will also send 150 soldiers to Poland to train 600 Ukrainians per month and train a total of 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers by summer,” added Sebastien Lecornu.
