Former Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Valentyna Semeniuk-Samsonenko has been found dead in her home in the village of Chaiky near Kyiv, spokesman for the Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s main office in Kyiv region Mykola Zhukovych has said.
“A report came at 19.00 that Samsonenko had shot herself,” he said, assuming that the call probably came from one of her family members.
According to Zhukovych, an investigative team and Interior Ministry representatives went to the scene. They found the body with a fatal gunshot wound.
Law enforcement officers, among other things, are considering the version of suicide.
