Finland will supply Ukraine with military equipment worth almost €29M

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted on December 24, 2022, on Facebook, that Finland would supply Ukraine with the 11th package of military equipment worth 28.8 million euros.

“Finland will supply Ukraine with more military equipment. The President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, made this decision on December 20 at the request of the government,” noted the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, it is specified that the equipment will be delivered within the framework of the 11th package of military aid, which is estimated at 28.8 million euros.

According to the Defense Minister of Finland Antti Kaikkonen, Ukraine’s defense operation is still ongoing, and the need for defense equipment is great. Thus Finland will continue to support Ukraine.

In addition, the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö decided that the Finnish Defense Forces will continue to participate in the training support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Great Britain until the end of 2023.

In August 2022, Finland sent about 20 instructors to a training operation led by Great Britain, the purpose of which is to train servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The Armed Forces are grateful for Finland’s support and assistance,” emphasized the General Staff.
