Finland sent energy and hospital equipment to Ukraine

The Minister of the Interior of Finland Krista Mikkonen noted on December 29, 2022, that Finland sent five trucks with material aid to Ukraine before Christmas, against the background of Russian aggression against the country.

“Before Christmas, five truckloads of material aid were sent to Ukraine. Sent to Ukraine on 22.12. a truckload of distribution transformers to support Ukraine’s energy supply. Four trucks sent on December 19-20 included, among other things, hospital supplies, rescue supplies, water purification materials and small generators,” explained the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Finland.

In addition, Finland also provided Ukraine with school furniture for the first time.

“Continuous fighting, the coming of winter and Russia’s attacks, especially on the energy infrastructure, make living conditions in Ukraine difficult. Millions are without electricity, heat or water. The situation is very serious for the civilian population, and Ukraine needs a lot of help. I would like to thank all those who donated help. Finland continues to provide aid in accordance with Ukraine’s requests. I hope that the desire of Finns to help remains high,” noted the Minister of the Interior of Finland.

In total, Finland provided Ukraine with 55 truckloads of civilian material aid in 2022.
